Now that I've finally caught up on my backlog of reviews and summaries to write for 2010, it's time to post the full list of concerts I saw that year. As with 2009, my note-taking at concerts was very spotty for most of the year, and I was rarely posting any reviews in a timely fashion, so I ended up writing summary posts for every month. The funny thing is, I'm now thinking maybe it's a good idea to write monthly summary posts as a rule. There are too many shows when I really don't have that much to say about the bands, which is part of the reason I put off writing the reviews, but it works well to do a single long post with just a brief note or two about the bands. As long as I post the summaries promptly when the month is over, I think that will work okay. And of course if I just keep up with taking notes, when I do have a lot to say about some bands I can still do a separate review for just that concert.

Standout performances in 2010 included the very first show in January featuring Beehive, Noddy, CMYK, and Library Science; Owen Pallett in May; Annuals also in May; The Redwood Plan at every show they did; Freezepop with Ming & Ping in October; and of course Hotels at all their shows, but I'll say at their July show with The Secret History (also great) in particular. I'd also have to mention some amazing performances at the Sasquatch Music Festival—My Morning Jacket, Massive Attack, Phantogram, Martina Topley-Bird, Passion Pit, and Pyrosutra—the Capitol Hill Block Party—The Redwood Plan, !!!—and Decibel Festival—Lusine, Ben Frost, Mary Anne Hobbs, and Monolake.
